What to check before buying

The four things that most often change the price of venue media contracts after the first meeting.

  1. 1

    Contract term and renewal

How long the concession runs, what the renewal terms are, and whether the venue can end it early. A contract with 18 months left is a different asset from one with eight years.

  2. 2

    Revenue share with the venue

Most venue contracts pay the landlord a share or a minimum guarantee. Both change what the contract is actually worth.

This is a starting checklist, not advice. Take your own legal and financial advice before signing anything.
